3 years of being Feline Friendly Accredited with the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM)

Sep 28, 2022

The team celebrates 3 years of being Feline Friendly Accredited with the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) ✨💫✨

This is an internationally recognised award meaning we have met strict criteria to help make your cat feel safe & welcome.

The MVVH team understands it is stressful to bring your cat to us, so this is why we are proud to have been accredited as an ISFM cat friendly vet practice!

✅Our cat patients are hospitalised in a separate, calm, quiet ward away from dogs.

✅ designated area’s in our reception ⬅️⬅️ dogs to the left & cats to the right ➡️➡️

✅ Blankets sprayed with Feliway are available to cover your cat basket whilst you wait for your appointment.

✅ Once in the consulting room cats are encouraged to investigate the room using the window sills, table & counter tops. Once they have settled, we can then examine your cat in a more relaxed style, reducing their stress levels even more.

✅ We do as much as we can to make your cat as comfortable as possible whilst away from home.

✅ We use cat condo boxes in our kennels which they can chose to hide under or sit on top of; whichever they find most relaxing.

✅ All our team understand cats & their special requirements.

✅ We have a special cat advocate, Vet Nurse Alex, who has made cat care her priority!

✅ Our vets & vet nurses appreciate cats need to be approached in a gentle, calm & empathetic way.

The MVVH team are so proud to have achieved this accreditation!
